OBJECTIVE

This course is intended to impart complete knowledge on the TQM philosophy and methods so as to implement them effectively in the work place. Additional input in finance and other management areas is also offered to prepare the students to meet the requirements to be a manager / professional for overall prospective of the serving organization. OBJECTIVE

Software Quality is a framework for success in Software Development. 5. DIPLOMA IN QUALITY CONTROL (DQC)

OBJECTIVE

This Course is uniquely designed for persons who are XII pass or ITI level to acquire sufficient knowledge to monitor the process with Statistical Techniques and offer productive output in their present / future place of work. Very simple English is used with a lot of examples and illustrations for easy understanding and possible implementation / Introduction. Additional knowledge to become an effective supervisor is also provided to take up higher responsibilities or positions

PROCEDURE FOR ADMISSION

The application and prospectus can be had by sending application fee mentioned in the Annexure by way of a Bank Demand Draft (only from Nationalised Banks in favour of “INDIAN INSTITUTION OF QUALITY ASSURANCE” Payable at Tiruchirapplli. While requesting for application form & prospectus, the applicant should clearly mention his address and the name of the course in CAPITAL LETTERS. No Envelope needs to be enclosed to receive the application and prospectus.

The application is not transferable and only the form issued by IIQA is to be used.

Following should be enclosed with the filled in Application form

  1. Attested Xerox copies Degree / Diploma Certificate or provisional certificate

  2. Work experience certificate, if applicable

  3. One self addressed Stamped (Rs.5/-) envelope of size 22 x 10cm

A recent passport size photograph signed by the applicant should be pasted on the application form in the space provided for it. The photograph must be attested by a competent authority.

ATTESTATION

The photograph and certificates should be attested by the following:

  1. For Employed : Head of the personnel Department where the applicant is working

  2. For Un Employed : Head of the Institutions or HODs of departments of schools / Colleges – or by a gazzetted officer.

SENDING APPLICATION

  • The filled in application form along with the copies of certificates should be sent on or before the due date
  • Applicants are advised to mention the name of the course applied on the cover containing their applications.
  • One student cannot join two courses at a time
  • The original certificates and tuition fee should not be sent along with the application

SELECTION FOR ADMISSION

The applications received from the applicants will be scruitinized by the selection committee of this centre and those selected for admission will individually receive admission letter by post.

REGISTRATION

On getting the admission letter the applicant should send the following within the specified last date for registration

  • Tuition fee
  • Experience certificate as applicable
  • One stamp size photograph
  • A self addressed post card for acknowledgement purpose.
     

NOTE:

If the certificates submitted by the applicants are in any language other than English / Tamil, an English version of the certificate should accompany them.

The above should be sent by Registered Post or Courier on or before the stipulated date

ENROLMENT NUMBER

Admission will be confirmed later after verification of certificates and the student will be allotted an enrollment number

IDENTITY CARD

The signed Identity card bearing the enrollment number will be issued to the admitted students by post.

The students should bring the ID card to the contact program for verification.

ID card must be produced for verification at the examination hall.

Loss of Id cards should be informed to the centre with a fee of Rs.25/- for the issue of duplicate Id card.

STUDY

The regulations and syllabi of the course enrolled and the list of recommended text books will be sent along with the first dispatch of the study material.

The syllabus for each paper is divided into 20 or more lessons.

Each lesson covers almost the same amount of subject normally covered in a week’s time in regular classes

Student should make their own arrangements to buy recommended books for study and reference

Lessons will be dispatched to the students periodically.
The students should inform, if the lessons are not received within a reasonable period of time.

Students are advised to study the course material regularly and refer to further recommended books for additional knowledge.

RESPONSE SHEETS

Response Sheets for each paper will be sent to the students regularly. The students are advised to submit their response sheets within the stipulated date. On receipt, they will be evaluated and the same would be considered for internal assessment Submission of response sheets is compulsory and will be reckoned for internal assessment.

QUERIES

Students are advised to write to the Director for any clarification in the subjects of study, which will be attended promptly.

EXAMINATIONS

The Annual examination will be held during last week of April & May for all the courses in Chennai, Bangalore, Tiruchirappalli.

Supplementary Examination will be held only in Tiruchirappalli in December for the absentees and those who have failed in previous examinations.

Application form for registration for the examination will be sent to all the students one month before the examination. Information regarding centres of examination, time-table, fees payable and other regulations governing the examination will be sent to the students along with the examination application forms.

Forms for registration for the supplementary candidates will be sent only on request.

RESULT

Normally, the result of the examination will be known to the candidates within two months. Students should contact the center in case of any undue delay in receipt of Mark sheets.

CHANGE OF ADDRESS

Lessons and communications will be sent to the students to the addresses given by them.

Any change in their addresses should be intimated to the centre with a fee of Rs.25/-

Students are advised to inform the post office concerned to redirect the lessons and all other communications to their new addresses ads it will take some time to effect the change of address.

The academic year for the IIQA correspondence courses is January to December

DIPLOMAS

Diplomas are awarded to successful candidates on completion of the respective courses by Indian Institution of Quality Assurance.
